Changes… sometimes they are necessary…

July 9, 2009

So…. due to an overwhelming number of inquiries (thanks yall, I’m so touched) and my always lingering list of projects… I’m going to need to make some changes. I am revising my pricing and the way I do things a bit. Ever since I started this venture 2 years ago, I have always had a waiting list…. usually a LOOOOOONG waiting list. Some people have had to wait 8 months or more. Finally I started having to tell people I just couldn’t do it…. I could not add even one more project to this insane list. I hate that I keep having to turn away wonderful people because I just can’t keep up with the volume of projects I’m juggling. It’s totally no one’s fault and it just kills me to tell people… “I’m so sorry… I just can’t.” I LOVE doing this. I LOVE design. I want EVERYONE to be able to have a fabulous business identity that they love. I am always honored when someone asks me to play a part in defining their business. I so enjoy getting to ‘meet’ and know so many great talented individuals. I wish I could take every. single. project. for ever person that approaches me… but alas… I can’t do it at the expense of my family so I have to set limits. For me, it just plain sucks to say “no.”

So… to try and even the playing field a bit and give opportunity to those who I would otherwise be forced to turn away…… I’ve decided two things…

#1 I’m going to give first priority to those who are committed to purchasing my largest collection… and at this moment in time I am currently juggling 4 Whole-Kit-and-Kaboodle projects and have a few more waiting in the wings…

#2 I’m going to add in the option to expedite for those who REALLY want/need a total re-branding and are willing to pay extra for it. The price tag for this will be an extra $300 added to the cost of your purchase and it will put your project at the very top of my list.

I’ve always heard that if you are too busy then you are too cheap. I have raised my rates bit by bit over the last two years…. but I hate to keep going up higher and higher. I have always said that I wanted to be affordable enough for the ‘average joe’ like myself. These new changes are less about trying to make more money and more about limiting the daily inquiries I’m getting to those who are truly serious and committed to this whole process. Thanks so much for understand!
