FAQ
August 6, 2008Hi! Welcome to My Doodlebug Designs!
This is me!

My name is Stephanie and I’m a nurse by trade, a designer by choice, and a mother of 2 by GOD’s blessing. Ever since I can remember I’ve been drawn to art and design… to be able to do this is fulfillment of a dream for me! So glad you dropped by to my humble little blog!
If you are here you are probably interested in designs of some sort so here are some Frequently Asked Questions:
1. How do I navigate your site?
Well the ‘home’ page will feature announcements, blog contests, and some of my recent work. The other pages (logos, business designs, templates) display my design portfolio and other pertinent information.
2. How would you describe your ’style’?
In a word… ‘whimsical.’ I love colorful eye-catching designs! It’s not every one’s cup of tea but I will assume that if you contact me for a project you like what I do! I can do clean/modern designs as well but they aren’t my specialty.
3. What services do you offer?
I design just about everything! I mainly do business logos and coordinating business designs but I also do templates from time to time as well. Business designs I offer: business cards, letterheads, marketing cards, blog headers, site backgrounds, brochures, client information cards or trifolds, splash pages, and custom digital paper. I can also do other custom designs not listed here. Just e-mail me with the project you want done and I’ll give you a quote. The ‘misc’ page will display some of the other design projects I’ve done in the past.
4. What software do you use to create designs?
Logos are created in Adobe Illustrator. Most other projects are created in Adobe Photoshop. Splash pages in Dreamweaver.
5. What format will my digital files come in?
Logos – You will receive your logo in .eps format both in color and black-n-white.
Business and other designs – You will recieve your files in .psd format so they can easily be edited in Photoshop.
6. Do you offer vector files?
Yes. For those who don’t exactly know what a vector is, here is the wikipedia definition:
“Vector graphics is the use of geometrical primitives such as points, lines, curves, and shapes or polygon(s), which are all based upon mathematical equations, to represent images in computer graphics.”
The thing about vectors is they can be enlarged or reduced without loss of resolution. Vector files are illustrator .eps and .ai files. All logos are done as vector images.
7. What form of payment do you accept?
I am only accepting paypal!
8. Refunds?
Because of the nature of these products, there are no refunds for templates or custom designs.
9. What if there is a problem with my file?
Please let me know ASAP if you are having any issues with the files I’ve sent and we will work together to figure out the problem so that it can be resolved.
10. What if I have other questions?
Go ahead and e-mail me and ask away! You will find me to be a kind person who is easy to work with!
11. What if I’ve e-mailed you and haven’t heard back?
This happens sometimes. I can often get up to 100 e-mails a day related to either my design business or my photography gig. In the midst of all of these e-mails something can easily get overlooked. If you do not hear back from me PLEASE e-mail me again. I will never purposely ignore someone! If I ever fail to reply in a timely fashion chalk it up to busyness and my scatterbrain! Don’t ever feel like you are ‘bothering’ me!
12. How does the design process work? (new inquiry added)
I start the design process by sending clients a detailed questionnaire about their preferances. I create concepts based on their answers to the questionnaire. I take into account the client’s style, personal preferences, and target market.
13. Can you create logos for clients who are not photographers? (new inquiry added)
yes! certainly! I can design for just about any type of business. MOST of my clients are photographers (because I, myself, am an aspiring photographer).
14. Do you flickr? Can I add you?
yes… and yes! you can find me here.
